Living in the 21st century has made humans a lot more socially connected especially through the platform as this i.e. Facebook. With this the sooner one realizes the responsibility one is bestowed with this medium the better. Taking this opportunity Ice Earth has taken upon its shoulders to transmit “Transcultural Ecolitercy” through this platform as it is the international need as highlighted by the United Nations and all its 193 members.

As for India my home country I would like to inform you that Environmental Education has become a compulsory subject that is being taught right up to the 12th standard and passing in the board exams has become mandatory or else one would fail the boards. As for the University level, Social Awareness Programmes is mandatory to be carried out by the students.

At the level of SAARC with my experience of having studied at a school in which there were students from most of the SAARC nations, the message of “Transcultural Ecoliteracy” was well engraved in each of them as we all studied Environmental Education as a compulsory subject and realized to apply from the learnings how well can we do our bit for a better future for all.

Having realized the importance of “Transcultural Ecoliteracy” and promoting it in your own respective country through any medium, nothing would be of a greater service to Mother Earth to make her children aware of the need of the hour to promote Transcultural (extending through all human cultures) Ecoliteracy (ability to understand the natural systems that make life on Earth possible).

In the words of Ritchie Rohan (Stiftare-Ice Earth)-“Don’t wait for the snow to fall. Create a mountain so high the beauty lasts forever.” I couldn’t agree more with him and hope through the medium of Ice Earth we can all make our planet a better place to live.
